Prime minister

A prime minister is the head of government in many parliamentary systems, usually leading the cabinet and directing executive policy. The office is typically sustained by the confidence of a legislature.

Parliamentary system: A system of government in which the executive depends on the confidence of a legislature. It provides the institutional framework in which prime ministers usually govern.
