Primo Levi

Primo Levi (1919–1987) was an Italian Jewish writer and chemist whose memoirs, essays, and fiction examined the Holocaust, especially his imprisonment at Auschwitz.

Auschwitz concentration camp: A complex of Nazi concentration and extermination camps in German-occupied Poland during the Second World War. Levi was deported to Auschwitz III-Monowitz in 1944 and survived its forced-labor camp.
