Knowra Prince Rupert of the Rhine Prince Rupert of the Rhine Prince Rupert of the Rhine (1619–1682) was a German prince, military commander, and naval officer who led Royalist forces in the English Civil Wars and later served as a Royal Navy admiral.
Charles I of England : King of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 1625 until his execution in 1649. Rupert's uncle made him a leading commander for the Crown during the civil wars.
