Procopius

Procopius was a sixth-century Byzantine historian whose works include accounts of Justinian’s wars, imperial buildings, and court life.

Byzantine Empire: The medieval continuation of the Roman Empire, centered on Constantinople and lasting until 1453. Procopius wrote within its sixth-century political and military world.
