Province of Georgia

The Province of Georgia was a British colony in North America, established in 1732 and transformed into the U.S. state of Georgia in 1776.

James Oglethorpe: An English soldier, politician, and philanthropist who helped establish the Georgia colony and led its early settlement. He organized the colony’s founding and governed its first years.
