Duchy of Prussia : A Baltic duchy ruled by the Hohenzollern dynasty from 1525 until its elevation to a kingdom in 1701. Its electorate’s sovereignty outside the Holy Roman Empire enabled Frederick III to crown himself king in Prussia.
Prussian Army : The land forces of Prussia, renowned for discipline, conscription, and extensive military training. Its battlefield effectiveness underpinned Prussia’s territorial expansion and diplomatic influence.
