Ptolemaic Kingdom

A Hellenistic kingdom ruled by the Ptolemaic dynasty in Egypt from 305 to 30 BCE. It combined Macedonian Greek rule with Egypt’s older institutions and traditions.

Ptolemaic dynasty: The Macedonian Greek royal house that ruled Egypt from the death of Alexander the Great until 30 BCE. Its succession of rulers held the kingdom together across nearly three centuries.
