Pulitzer Prize for History

An annual American award for distinguished books on the history of the United States. Since 2023, it has recognized books on U.S. history published in the United States during the preceding calendar year.

Joseph Pulitzer: A Hungarian-American newspaper publisher who endowed the prizes that bear his name. His will established the awards program that includes the history prize.
