Pulp magazine

A low-cost fiction magazine printed on inexpensive wood-pulp paper, popular in the early twentieth century. Its cheap format supported serialized stories and vivid genre fiction.

Wood-pulp paper: Paper made chiefly from mechanically or chemically processed wood fibers. Its low cost made disposable, mass-market magazine printing economical.
