Puppet

A figure manipulated by a person to perform, tell a story, or represent a character. Its movement and expression are created through direct handling or mechanical control.

Marionette: A puppet controlled from above by strings or wires attached to a control bar. Its strings translate a puppeteer’s hand movements into articulated motion.
