Qinhuangdao

Qinhuangdao is a coastal city in Hebei province, northeastern China, on the Bohai Sea. It is known for its seaport, beach resorts, and nearby eastern end of the Great Wall.

Shanhaiguan: A district of Qinhuangdao containing the eastern terminus of the Ming Great Wall at Shanhai Pass. This district anchors Qinhuangdao’s best-known historical landmark.
Qin Shi Huang: The first emperor of a unified China, who ruled from 221 to 210 BCE. Tradition associates the city’s name with his eastern coastal journey.
Coal in China: China’s principal fossil fuel and a major source of electricity and industrial heat. Coal shipments have long been the port’s defining cargo.

Qinhuangdao Port: A major coal-export port on the Bohai Sea in Hebei province. The port transformed a coastal settlement into a nationally significant shipping center.
