Rajaraja I

Rajaraja I ruled the Chola Empire in southern India from 985 to 1014. He expanded Chola power across southern India and Sri Lanka and commissioned the Brihadisvara Temple at Thanjavur.

Chola Empire: A South Indian empire ruled by the Chola dynasty, reaching its height between the ninth and thirteenth centuries. Rajaraja’s campaigns and administration greatly expanded this empire.
