Ray Harryhausen

Ray Harryhausen was an American animator and visual-effects artist who brought stop-motion creatures to life in films including Jason and the Argonauts.

Dynamation: A compositing technique that combines stop-motion animation with live-action footage. Harryhausen used this process to integrate animated creatures into filmed scenes.
