Recovered Territories

Recovered Territories is the Polish name for former German lands transferred to Poland after World War II, chiefly territories east of the Oder–Neisse line. Their incorporation involved mass population transfers and lasting disputes over borders and belonging.

Tehran Conference: A 1943 meeting of Allied leaders that coordinated wartime strategy and discussed Poland’s postwar borders. The Allies discussed shifting Poland westward at Tehran, anticipating territorial changes later made at Potsdam.
