Réunion

Réunion is a volcanic island in the southwestern Indian Ocean and an overseas department and region of France. Its steep terrain includes the active volcano Piton de la Fournaise.

Piton de la Fournaise: An active shield volcano on Réunion that erupts frequently, usually without threatening populated areas. Its eruptions continually reshape the island’s southeastern landscape.
