Rex Harrison

Rex Harrison (1908–1990) was an English stage and film actor known for his precise comic delivery and roles in My Fair Lady, Doctor Dolittle, and Blithe Spirit.

Henry Higgins: A phonetics professor in George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion who attempts to transform Eliza Doolittle’s speech and social standing. Harrison’s portrayal made Higgins the signature role of his career, on Broadway and in the film adaptation.
George Bernard Shaw: An Irish playwright and critic whose works include Pygmalion and Saint Joan. Shaw created Henry Higgins, the role Harrison made especially associated with his name.
