Rex rabbit

The Rex rabbit is a domestic rabbit breed developed in France, distinguished by a short, dense, plush coat produced by a recessive genetic mutation.

Rabbit coat genetics: The inheritance of traits that determine rabbits’ fur color, pattern, and texture. Rex fur is a heritable texture trait controlled by a recessive mutation.
France: A country in western Europe. The Rex breed originated in France in the early twentieth century.
