Richard Sorge

Richard Sorge was a Soviet military intelligence officer who operated in Japan under the cover of a German journalist. His Tokyo spy network supplied the Soviet Union with intelligence about Axis plans and Japanese policy.

Hotsumi Ozaki: A Japanese journalist and political adviser who supplied Richard Sorge’s network with information from influential circles. Ozaki’s access to Japanese officials made him Sorge’s most valuable source on policy and military intentions.
