Robert Capa

Robert Capa was a Hungarian-American photojournalist and war photographer whose images documented conflicts including the Spanish Civil War and World War II.

The Falling Soldier: A 1936 photograph attributed to Robert Capa that appears to show a Spanish Republican militiaman at the moment of death. Its authenticity and staging have been debated since it became Capa’s most famous image.
Gerda Taro: A German Jewish photojournalist who covered the Spanish Civil War and worked closely with Robert Capa. Taro helped develop the Capa identity and shared his early work in Spain.
