Robert E. Sherwood

Robert E. Sherwood (1896–1955) was an American playwright and screenwriter whose works include Abe Lincoln in Illinois and The Best Years of Our Lives.

Abe Lincoln in Illinois: Robert E. Sherwood’s 1938 play traces Abraham Lincoln’s rise from Illinois lawyer to president. This Pulitzer Prize-winning play established Sherwood’s reputation for historical drama.
Harvard University: Harvard University is a private research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Sherwood studied at Harvard but left before graduating to serve in World War I.
