Robert II of France

Robert II, known as Robert the Pious, was king of the Franks from 996 to 1031. He was the son and successor of Hugh Capet and strengthened the early Capetian dynasty.

Hugh Capet: King of the Franks from 987 to 996, Hugh Capet founded the Capetian dynasty. Robert succeeded his father, whose election established the dynasty he inherited.
