Robert Redford

Robert Redford (1936–2025) was an American actor, director, producer, and environmental activist whose career included landmark films and the founding of the Sundance Institute.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: A 1969 Western comedy starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford as outlaw partners. Its success made Redford a major film star and began his enduring partnership with Newman.
Sundance Institute: A nonprofit organization that supports independent filmmakers through labs, programs, and grants. Redford founded it in 1981 to nurture filmmaking beyond the studio system.
