Robert Tappan Morris

Robert Tappan Morris is an American computer scientist who created the Morris worm, which spread across the early internet in 1988. He later became a professor at MIT.

Morris worm: A self-propagating program released on the internet in 1988 that disrupted thousands of Unix computers. Morris created this worm, whose runaway replication brought him national attention.
Leonard Adleman: An American computer scientist who co-invented the RSA public-key cryptosystem and coined the term DNA computing. Adleman was Morris’s doctoral adviser and helped analyze the worm’s code.
