Rocksteady

Rocksteady is a Jamaican popular music style that developed from ska in the mid-1960s, with a slower tempo and bass-centered arrangements.

Ska: Ska is a Jamaican popular music style marked by offbeat guitar or piano chords and a walking bass line. Rocksteady slowed ska’s rhythmic drive and shifted more attention to bass.

Rockers rhythm: Rockers is a reggae rhythm style associated with a forceful, repeated drum pattern developed in the 1970s. Its later drum approach grew from the rhythmic changes that followed rocksteady.
