Rohingya genocide

The persecution and mass violence against the Rohingya in Myanmar, especially the 2017 military crackdown, described as genocide by several governments and scholars.

2017 Rohingya refugee crisis: The mass flight of Rohingya from Myanmar to Bangladesh after the military crackdown that began in August 2017. It followed the violence at the center of international genocide allegations.
Tatmadaw: The armed forces of Myanmar, which have exercised extensive political power and conducted military operations against the Rohingya. Its forces carried out the 2017 operations documented by investigators.
