Romanian language

Romanian is an Eastern Romance language descended from spoken Latin in the Roman province of Dacia. It is spoken chiefly in Romania and Moldova and preserves grammatical features uncommon among Romance languages.

Vulgar Latin: The non-literary forms of spoken Latin from which the Romance languages developed. Romanian descends from the spoken Latin varieties that persisted in southeastern Europe.
