Romanian War of Independence

The 1877–1878 conflict in which Romania fought alongside Russia against the Ottoman Empire, helping secure international recognition of Romanian independence.

Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878): A war in which Russia and its allies fought the Ottoman Empire from 1877 to 1878. Romania’s campaign formed part of this wider war against Ottoman rule.
