Rupa Goswami

Rupa Goswami was a 16th-century Bengali theologian, poet, and renunciant who systematized Gaudiya Vaishnava theology and composed influential Sanskrit works on devotion to Krishna.

Gaudiya Vaishnavism: A Krishna-centered Hindu tradition founded in Bengal that emphasizes devotion and the teachings of Chaitanya. Rupa Goswami helped shape this tradition’s theology and devotional practice.
