Sack of Rome (455)

The Sack of Rome in 455 was a two-week plundering of the city by the Vandals under King Gaiseric, following the murder of Emperor Petronius Maximus.

Gaiseric: Gaiseric was king of the Vandals and Alans from 428 until his death in 477. He led the Vandal fleet and army to Rome and directed the sack.
