Salween River

The Salween is a major river that flows from the Tibetan Plateau through China and Myanmar, forms part of the Myanmar–Thailand border, and reaches the Andaman Sea.

Tibetan Plateau: A high plateau in Central and East Asia that contains the headwaters of several major Asian rivers. The Salween begins on this plateau before cutting south through deep mountain valleys.
