Sanada Yukimura

Sanada Yukimura was a Japanese samurai who fought for the Toyotomi side in the 1614–1615 sieges of Osaka Castle. Later stories made him a celebrated symbol of courage and resistance.

Siege of Osaka: The 1614–1615 campaigns in which Tokugawa forces destroyed the Toyotomi stronghold at Osaka Castle. Yukimura became famous for leading the castle’s defenses during these campaigns.
