Satoshi Tajiri

Satoshi Tajiri is a Japanese video game designer and entrepreneur best known for creating Pokémon and founding Game Freak.

Ken Sugimori: A Japanese illustrator and video game designer who created the original Pokémon designs. Sugimori illustrated Tajiri’s proposal for Pokémon and became its principal character designer.
Game Freak (fanzine): A Japanese video game fanzine founded by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori in 1982. The fanzine gave Tajiri a platform to analyze games before he began making them.
Pokémon Red and Blue: The paired role-playing games that introduced the original Pokémon world and launched the franchise internationally. These games are the defining realization of Tajiri’s design vision.
