School shooting

A school shooting is an incident in which a firearm is discharged at or near a school, potentially injuring or killing students, staff, or others.

Trauma: Psychological or physical harm resulting from an intensely distressing or dangerous experience. Survivors, witnesses, and affected communities may experience lasting psychological harm.
Threat assessment: A structured process for evaluating whether a person may pose a risk of violence. School teams may use it to assess concerning behavior and plan interventions.
Bath School disaster: A 1927 bombing at a Michigan school that killed 38 children and six adults. It is an early mass attack at a school, though explosives rather than firearms were used.
