Sebastián Piñera

Sebastián Piñera was a Chilean politician and businessman who served as president of Chile from 2010 to 2014 and from 2018 to 2022.

2010 Chilean mine rescue: A rescue operation that brought 33 miners to the surface after 69 days trapped underground in northern Chile. Piñera’s first presidency became internationally associated with the successful rescue.
