Second Anglo-Mysore War

The Second Anglo-Mysore War (1780–1784) was a conflict between the Kingdom of Mysore and the British East India Company, ending with the Treaty of Mangalore.

Treaty of Mangalore: The 1784 agreement that ended the Second Anglo-Mysore War and restored conquered territories to both sides. Its reciprocal restoration of conquests closed the war without resolving the rivalry.
Hyder Ali: The ruler of Mysore from 1761 to 1782 who built its military power and led it against the British East India Company. He launched the invasion of the Carnatic and directed Mysore’s early campaigns.
