Senusret III

Senusret III was a pharaoh of Egypt’s Twelfth Dynasty, ruling in the nineteenth century BCE. He expanded Egyptian control in Nubia and strengthened royal administration.

Semna and Kumma: Egyptian fortresses built along the Nile in Lower Nubia during the Middle Kingdom. These strongholds anchored the frontier Senusret III defended and extended.
