Sergei Belov

Sergei Belov was a Soviet basketball player and coach, celebrated for his shooting and leadership. He won Olympic bronze in 1968 and 1976 and gold in 1972.

1972 Olympic men's basketball final: The disputed Munich Olympic final in which the Soviet Union defeated the United States 51–50. Belov captained the Soviet side to its first Olympic basketball gold.
Alexander Gomelsky: A Soviet basketball coach who led the USSR men's team to Olympic gold in 1988. Gomelsky coached Belov on the Soviet national team during much of his international career.
