Sergei Bondarchuk

Sergei Bondarchuk (1920–1994) was a Soviet actor and film director. He directed and starred in the film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace.

War and Peace (film): Sergei Bondarchuk’s four-part Soviet film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s novel, released from 1966 to 1967. The landmark production that made Bondarchuk internationally known as a director.
