Shaw Brothers Studio

Shaw Brothers Studio was a Hong Kong film production and distribution company that became a major maker of Cantonese- and Mandarin-language films, especially from the 1950s through the 1970s.

The One-Armed Swordsman: A 1967 Hong Kong martial-arts film directed by Chang Cheh about a swordsman who loses an arm and trains to fight again. Its commercial success helped establish the studio’s modern wuxia cycle.
