Shogi

Shogi is a Japanese two-player strategy board game played on a 9×9 grid. Captured pieces change allegiance and can be dropped back onto the board by their captor.

Shogi drop: A move that places a captured piece onto an empty square under its captor’s control. Drops return captured material to play and can create immediate threats.
