Sinbad the Sailor

Sinbad is a legendary sailor in the One Thousand and One Nights who recounts seven voyages marked by fantastical dangers, strange lands, and discoveries.

Roc (mythology): A gigantic bird in Middle Eastern and South Asian folklore, famed for carrying off elephants. A roc strands Sinbad on an island after he mistakes its egg for a rock.
