Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia

The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was a socialist federation in southeastern Europe from 1945 to 1992, led for decades by Josip Broz Tito and independent of the Soviet-led bloc after 1948.

Titoism: A form of Yugoslav communism marked by self-management, federalism, and independence from Soviet control. Its governing ideology combined communist rule with a break from Stalin’s model.
Kingdom of Yugoslavia: A South Slavic monarchy that existed from 1918 until the Axis invasion in 1941. The socialist federation replaced the prewar kingdom after occupation and civil conflict.
