Sohag Governorate
Sohag Governorate is an administrative region in Upper Egypt, extending along the Nile Valley and centered on the city of Sohag.

Abydos: Abydos is an ancient Egyptian religious and burial site in Sohag Governorate. Its temples and royal tombs make it the governorate’s most prominent ancient site.
