Solomonic dynasty

The Ethiopian royal dynasty that ruled from 1270 to 1974 and claimed descent from the biblical King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.

Yekuno Amlak: The Ethiopian ruler who founded the Solomonic dynasty in 1270 after overthrowing the Zagwe dynasty. His accession began the dynasty’s long claim to restored Solomonic rule.
