Songhua River

The Songhua River is a major river in northeastern China, flowing through Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces before joining the Amur River.

Amur River: A major river of East Asia that forms part of the China–Russia border and flows into the Sea of Okhotsk. The Songhua joins the Amur, which carries its waters to the sea.
Songhua River water pollution: Contamination of the Songhua River by industrial chemicals, sewage, and other pollutants. Pollution has threatened water supplies and aquatic ecosystems along the river.
