Songtsen Gampo

Songtsen Gampo was a 7th-century ruler who consolidated the Tibetan Empire and extended its reach across Central Asia. Tibetan tradition credits him with introducing Buddhism to Tibet.

Tibetan Empire: A Central Asian empire ruled from Tibet that reached its height between the seventh and ninth centuries. Songtsen Gampo’s campaigns laid foundations for the empire’s expansion.
