South Hamgyong Province

South Hamgyong Province is a province in northeastern North Korea, on the Sea of Japan and centered on Hamhung. Its varied terrain includes coastal plains and mountainous interior regions.

Hamhung: Hamhung is North Korea’s second-largest city and the capital of South Hamgyong Province. The provincial capital anchors the province’s urban and administrative life.
