Southern Ndebele

Southern Ndebele is a Nguni Bantu language spoken chiefly by the Southern Ndebele people of South Africa. It is one of South Africa’s 12 official languages.

Nguni languages: A branch of Bantu languages that includes Zulu, Xhosa, Swati, and Ndebele varieties. Southern Ndebele belongs to this branch and shares its broad linguistic inheritance.
