Souvanna Phouma

Souvanna Phouma (1901–1984) was a Lao politician who served several terms as prime minister from 1951 to 1975. He pursued a neutralist policy during the conflict that divided Laos.

Souphanouvong: A Lao prince and communist leader who headed the Pathet Lao and served as president of Laos. His half-brother led the rival communist movement Souvanna repeatedly sought to reconcile with.
