Soviet Air Force

The Soviet Air Force was the aviation service responsible for the Soviet Union’s military aircraft, including fighters, bombers, and transport planes.

Frontal Aviation: The Soviet aviation branch that supported ground forces and operated near the front. It supplied tactical air power to Soviet fronts and military districts.
Imperial Russian Air Service: The military aviation service of the Russian Empire during the First World War. Its personnel and aircraft formed part of the aviation legacy inherited after 1917.
